I am constantly being inspired by everyday things. My art is evidence that life is full of joy and beauty. I love people and emotions and colors and birds and white paint.
I have painted hundreds of little house paintings and they just seem to keep coming out of me.
Mainly they are cute and warm and cozy and soft. But they are also a super strong symbol to me. They are little capsules, like diaries that tell stories. They hold the most intimate details of peoples lives, histories, futures, dreams and emotions.
Every person has a story that relates to “home”-- It really is where the heart is.
The house is the most encompassing symbol I could find to capture the vast range of the emotional human experience.
